School of the Art Institute of Chicago from 1960
to 1963 on a scholarship from the North Shore
Art League in Winnetka, Illinois, and was also
awarded a partial scholarship from the School of
the Art Institute of Chicago. She studied Drawing,
Painting, Watercolor, Printmaking, Illustration,
and Sculpture.

Exhibited in Art League annual shows, Glencoe,
Old Orchard, Hubbard Woods, own showing at
Northbrook library, Glenbrook HS, also Evanston
Art Center, BAAC, Grayslake Park District,
SAIC student exhibits, and private commissions
and sales. Also received art training at
American Academy of Art, Chicago,
Paul Weigardt SAIC & Evanston Art Center,
Ludwig Budzowski Dean of Graduate
Students National College of Education
and Guido Chigi Art Educator, College and
High School level and painter.

SHE Taught Ballet for 25 yrs., art classes for
various youth organization including the
Park District of Grayslake, and also taught figure
skating for several years.

Lake Shore Dance Company, Dance Workshop,
New World Dance Company, PM & L Theater,

LAUREL'S SON KURT Attended the School of the Art Institute where he studied Graphic Design and also participated in the earlycollege studies program summers.  He graduated from Carmel High School in Mundelein and has also attended the College of Lake County.

Kurt has exhibited in several shows in the Lake County area and BAAC in Barrington as well as student exhibits at the School of the Art Institute.  His drawings were chosen for a the yearly calendar by Prudential Properties in Libertyville, Illinois. He currently lives and works in the Chicago area.
